As part of the IT-LV-LU Trio Presidency Programme, the workshop aims to explore the potential benefits of specific legal provisions for border regions, supporting better integration and cooperation across borders. The workshop will identify situations in which cross-border territorial development is hampered by incompatible rules or legal frameworks. The challenges of cross-border cooperation are illustrated by examples from sectors such as healthcare, transport, and planning. The workshop will clarify the type of legal provision that could help overcome barriers to territorial development across borders.
