Vacancy - Contact Point in Luxembourg for the Interreg North-West Europe Programme (2014-2020) & for the Interreg Europe Programme (2014-2020)

“GIE LERAS – Luxembourg European Research & Administration Support” is an Economic Interest Group. Its members are the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure (MDDI) in Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg.

For the new programmes under the European Territorial Cooperation Objective in the context of the Structural and Investment Funds GIE LERAS is offering a post with two distinguished tasks:

1. Contact Point in Luxembourg for the Interreg North-West Europe Programme (2014-2020)

The Interreg NorthWest Europe programme supports transnational cooperation across North-West Europe and aims to increase territorial cohesion, to reduce disparities amongst European regions and to foster smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

A 0,5 full time equivalent is dedicated to this task.

The mission:

  • Support to create high-quality projects and project applications.
  • Support to the development of strong partnerships and assistance to potential applicants in identifying transnational partners.
  • Support to project partners to deliver their projects.
  • Promote and communicate about the programme and projects.
  • To maintaining the Contact Point-Joint Secretariat network and to support the development of relevant regional, national and international networks.

2. Contact Point in Luxembourg for the Interreg Europe Programme (2014-2020)


The Interreg Europe programme also aims at smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and territorial cohesion. To this end the programme supports policy learning among public authorities to improve the performance of policies and programmes for regional development.

A 0,1 full time equivalent is dedicated to this task.

The mission:

  • Support to create high-quality projects and project applications.
  • Support to the development of strong partnerships and assistance to potential applicants in identifying European partners.
  • Support to project partners to deliver their projects.
  • Promote and communicate about the programme and projects.


The competencies
expected for both tasks:

  • University degree (4 years) in a field relevant for territorial development, preferably geography, spatial/urban planning.
    Professional experience in the context of EU - Funds is of advantage, preferably in the field of Interreg.
  • Good knowledge of European Institutions and policies, especially Cohesion Policy.
  • Good knowledge of Luxembourgish national policies.
  • Good knowledge of the Luxembourgish actors in the fields relevant for the Interreg programmes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in organizing workshops and seminars.
  • Language skills: Good command of English (working language) French and German as well as Luxembourgish.
  • Computer literacy- recent versions of Word, Excel, Power Point, databases.
